Car Insurance Mazda (Car Insurance). Swapping Interior Between Celica Models? Help urgently needed!?

Swapping Interior Between Celica Models? Help urgently needed!? Would and interior from a 1975 2 Door Toyota Celica LT Fit into a 1974 2 Door Toyota Celica LT ??? Mainly needing the Dash and carpet, but would also be good to be able to swap the seats in

yes, it should fit but to get the carpet you will have to take the seats out of both. Not too hard, couple bolts and a little work and you have it! Yes, they should fit, and good luck! I am pretty sure they are both the same body type and both are LT editions. The only problem I will think you have is finding the same color to match your interior but if you did then thats a plus. But yes it will fit

Mazda . Car Door Problems

Primarily used to enter and exit a vehicle, car doors also contain the mechanisms for opening and closing windows as well as the door lock. Since the doors serve more than one purpose, they are subject to more than one problem.
Leaking
A car door's weatherstrip seal deteriorates over time, which can lead to leaking. A car door's weatherstrip seal is usually comprised of a combination of rubber and foam that locks out air and moisture. The seal encases the entire circumference of the door frame. It's easy to replace the weatherstrip yourself, or you can choose to have an auto mechanic do it for you.
Latch Problems
Car doors experience problems with their latches, which makes opening and closing the doors more difficult. Corrosion, lack of lubrication and old age are the culprits. Although you can solve some latch problems with added lubrication, in other instances you will need to replace the door latch.
Misalignment
When a car door is improperly aligned, the door will not open, close or lock properly. Bent hinges, rust accumulation and loose or missing rubber sealant are common causes of misalignment.

Mazda . How to Start a Car Engine in Subzero Temperatures

Car engines are difficult to start in winter months, particularly if you live in an area with subzero temperatures. When the weather is extremely cold, the components of your engine, including metal, rubber and plastic pieces, are in danger of breaking or cracking. Gasoline evaporates less in cold temperatures, but it is evaporation that provides the gas vapors that fires the engine. Oil gets thicker in cold temperatures, which means that it can't flow through your engine as well. Your battery also reacts more slowly in cold temperature, making it more difficult to get your engine to turn over.
Difficulty:Moderately Challenging
Instructions Things You'll Need
Battery with high number of "cold cranking amps"
Battery blanket
Warm blankets or quilts
Lightweight oil
Antifreeze
Engine block heater
Ether

Step by Step :
1
Equip your car with a battery with the highest number of "cold cranking amps," meaning the amount of current your battery can produce at zero degrees Fahrenheit. Cold weather makes it more difficult for your battery to turn the engine over, but this type of battery is better suited for cold start-ups.
2
Cover your battery with a battery blanket to keep it warm between start-ups. You can also cover your entire engine with a warm blanket or quilt; just make sure you remove all blankets before trying to start the engine.
3
Use the lowest level viscosity winter grade oil that is recommended by your auto manufacturer; 5W and 0W are often recommended, but some older vehicles require thicker 10W oils. The "W" in oil grades stands for "winter" and the lower the "W" grade, the thinner the oil.
4
Change your oil regularly so sludge doesn't build up in your engine. Oil can form sludge in cold conditions and when old, so regular changes and thinner oil will prevent this from happening.
5
Check your antifreeze levels regularly to make sure the reservoir is filled so that your radiator doesn't freeze and crack.
6
Keep your car parked in a heated or insulated garage to protect it from the extreme cold temperatures.
7
Install an engine block heater to keep your engine warm so it will start up easily. Keep the heater running at all times in extremely cold climates; otherwise, start the heater two hours before you need to start the engine to save electricity.
8
Keep your gas tank full so that vapors are more readily available to start the engine. Some people in extremely cold climates pour some ether into the gas tank just before starting because ether evaporates more efficiently than gasoline in cold weather.
9
Start your engine several times during the day and let it idle for about ten minutes. This will keep the engine warm and prevent it from reaching extremely low temperatures that could crack the metal, rubber and plastic components of the engine.
Tips & Warnings
Keep your tires properly inflated to prevent flat spots that will make your vehicle difficult to get rolling.

Never allow a car to idle in an attached garage that is poorly ventilated because potentially fatal carbon monoxide gases can leak into your house.

Only turn the key for ten seconds at a time when trying to start the engine, and then let it rest for a few minutes. If you keep turning the key, you will drain the battery.

Refer to your vehicle manual warranty information and contact a professional auto technician before putting ether in your gas tank.

f you think about tires only when it's time to buy new ones, you need to / think again. The right tires in the right condition can enhance your driving experience and make it safer. In fact, your brakes and your tires have a two-way relationship: Poor braking action results in increased tire wear, but properly balanced and aligned wheels and properly inflated tires in good condition can help stop your car up to 25 percent faster! There's also a strong correlation between tire inflation and tire wear. If your tires are underinflated, the outer treads wear out faster. If your tires are overinflated, the centers of the tread areas go. And if the wheels get out of alignment, your tires can wear out in as little as one day of hard driving! So to get more mileage from your tires, plus better braking action and a smoother, quieter ride, you ought to know a bit about buying, checking, and maintaining the tires on your vehicle. In this chapter, I tell you about the kinds of tires available. (You can buy different types and grades, and just as you wouldn't wear your finest shoes to the beach, you don't want to put the most expensive, long-lasting, high-speed radials on an old car that just goes back and forth to the shopping center.) I also tell you how to check your tires and how to "read" your treads for clues about how well your car is performing — and how well you're driving. If these clues show that you need to have your wheels balanced or aligned, or your tires replaced, I provide enough information for you to be sure that the work is done the right way for the right price. 3 OS Part "l: Kee P'n9 Your ^ar in 6ood Condition, System by System You don't have to do much (in terms of physical labor) with this chapter, so just find a comfortable place to read, relax, and enjoy. Every tire has several major parts (see Figure 19-1): u0 The tread is the rubber part of the tire that gets most of the wear and tear. The tread patterns help the tire grip the road and resist puncturing. These patterns are also excellent indicators of tire wear. I get into reading these clues later in this chapter, in the section called "Checking your tires for wear." V The sidewall is the part of the tire between the tread and the bead. The section called "The Secrets on Your Sidewalls, Revealed!" later in this chapter decodes all the useful data molded into the sidewall of a tire. v* The bead is a hoop of steel wire that's shaped to help hold the tire onto the rim of the wheel. V* The casing (or carcass) is the body of the tire, located beneath the tread and the sidewalls. It helps the tire keep its shape when inflated, instead of letting it blow up like a balloon. The casing is made up of various materials, called cords. v* The belts are also made up of cords, which are coated with rubber and located between the body and the tread. The type of material used for the belts, and the way it's wrapped around the bead, determine the kind of tire and its price. Originally, cotton was used for the cords, but it soon gave way to better materials, such as steel, aramid (which is harder than steel)7fiberglass, polyester, rayon, and nylon. Steel-belted radials are the most popular type of tires today. v* The tire valve lets air into and out of a tire. The valve core prevents air from escaping. Each valve should have a valve cap to keep dirt and moisture from getting into the tire. Until recently, tires came in a variety of constructions. There were bias-ply tires, which featured cords wrapped around the beads at overlapping angles. These were superseded by bias-belted tires, which were constructed in the same manner as bias-ply tires but featured belts of another material that wrapped around the tires' circumference, providing longer wear, puncture resistance, and more directional stability. Today, all vehicles come fitted with radial tires and, because all but the oldest vehicles run well with them, bias-ply and bias-belted tires are no longer readily available. .Chapter 19: Checking Your Tires, Alignment, and Steering Figure 19-1:
